Ana Rita Mota Silva

My name is Ana Rita but I’m mostly known as Rita. I’m 18 years old and I’m from a small city but it’s near to everything that I need, so why trade that for the big cities with a lot of noise and stress?  

Besides being a student at Politécnico do Porto I’m also an athlete, so you can imagine how my life is, keeping up with university and practicing. It may seem hard but it’s actually extra hard sometimes. Nevertheless, I don’t know how to live without athletics in my life so I enjoy being busy (and yes I have a social life, athletes can have that too). 

Inês Barge

Hi! My name is Inês Barge and I’m 18 years old. I’m a student at ESE, Politecnico do Porto and I belong to class 1 of Languages and Foreign Cultures.

I consider myself as a relaxed and positive person. I like to hang out with my friends because we spend most time laughing and having fun! I also enjoy listening to music, mostly pop and some R&B. It clears my mind and pushes away the negative energies.

I love to play football! Actually, I play in a team called Valadares Gaia FC. I think that we can learn a lot with collective sports like sharing, learning new points of view, the importance of trust and respect.

Finally, I hope to follow my dreams and live a happy life doing what I love the most! I want to live new experiences without regretting anything and enjoy as much as I can because life is too short.

Emilia Valente

My name is Emilia and I am 20 years old. I am both Portuguese and English and have spent most of my life in England. I am a very dedicated student and I never give less than 110%. I have always had a background in arts, and I choose to include it in every work aspect when possible. With a dual nationality, languages have always interested me and in some form, they also coincide with art, giving me the ability to put two qualities of mine together and to use them for future work. If people were to describe me, they would call me the ‘mum’ of the group as satisfaction for me comes from helping others and as much of a cliche as it may sound, seeing other people happy makes me happy.

Beatriz Teles

I'm an 18-year-old student from Porto currently taking my associate degree in "Linguas e Culturas Estrangeiras" at Politecnico do Porto. My interests fall under a broad assortment of categories including the examination and understanding of minority groups, the impact of oppression on society and individual Mental Health, social issues in general as well as psychology and Behavioral Sciences and an array of different art forms. I care for art as a leisure pursuit but also admire it for the historical and cultural context and meaning behind each art piece.

As the name of the degree previously mentioned implies, I take interest in various different languages, including non-verbal ones, as well as different cultures and religions and their impact and influences on different aspects of human life.
